Dirán que soy antipatriota (y no se equivocarían mucho) y además, desconsiderada con los animales (esto si que me fastidia). Pero es que, en la lucha entre partidarios y detractores de "nuestra" fiesta nacional, yo me siento imparcial.
Por un lado, considero que esta forma de espectáculo es dantesca y de mal gusto drisfrutarla. Comparable a la bestialidad de los espectáculos romanos, en los que se obligaba a gladiadores a luchar a muerte.
Pero más que el espectáculo en si, lo que me parece deleznable son las motivaciones que llevan a los aficcionados a llenar las plazas; sin los cuales la lidia no tendría razón de ser. Motivaciones que, ocultas tras la definición de "arte" que se le da al toreo, a mi no me parecen más que la aflozación de los más bajos y primarios instintos de los que se suponen seres racionales e inteligentes. Motivaciones que llevan a drisfrutar a las personas, de una lucha violenta, sanguinaria e injusta.
Pero, llegando a la conclusión de que la violencia es una necesidad instintiva de algunos seres humanos y que los instintos dificilmente son controlables, mejor dejar se desahoguen en los ruedos que en otros lares.
Por otro lado, y siendo consciente del horroroso sufrimiento y la vejación a la que es sometido el toro en la injusta lucha; el toro lucha y muere luchando.
Acaba también en la vitrina de alguna carnicería especializada; que está bien cotizada su carne.
Pero esto, tras haber vivido aproximádamente unos cinco años, pastando libremente por la finca, al sol y correteando, así como disfrutando de su condición de semental.
Y yo, poniendome en la piel del toro, prefiero esto, a la suerte de sus semenjantes; que viven encerrados durante dos o tres años, en su habitaculo de la granja, comiendo pienso hecho con vaya usted a saber que harinas, inyectados de sustancias para su más rápido engorde y viniendo a morir electrocutados en enormes bañeras.
Yo ya lo digo, ni de parte de unos ni de otros. Que no voy a los toros, pero si que me he comido la carne ( aunque bien podría pasar sin ella).

Yo nunca fui a los toros, ni pienso hacerlo. Yo nunca disfruté viendo sufrir y morir a un animal. Si morir o matar es un arte, ahora comprendo que retransmitan por la tele algunas ejecuciones en los Estados Unidos, porque animales o personas, se hace morir sufriendo para regocijo de espectadores. De aquí a nada, tendremos Battle Royal cada fin de semana.
Prefiero que se extinga una raza inútil y creada que otras que sin molestar a nadie están desapareciendo casi sin hacer ruido. Y que no me digan que no es cruel manetener una especie viva simplemente para matarla en exhibiciones multitudinarias.
Yo no soy imparcial, y no creo que deba serlo. A veces es bueno tener una opinión clara, lo cual no significa tener la correcta, antes de que se me ofenda alguno.
Los toros al campo, y si se extingue la especie, pues que intenten crear una de humanos que no necesiten de la violencia gratuíta como catarsis.
