La ADCV invita a la presentación del libro "Señal de Diseño / Memoria de Práctica" en la ciudad de La Plata. El evento se realizará junto a la revista Crann y Ediciones Infinito el día sábado 5 de junio a las 11:00 horas, en la Sala Astor Piazzolla del Teatro Argentino
Av. 51 e/ 9 y 10 de la ciudad de La Plata. Entrada Libre y Gratuita.
Contaremos con la presencia de Ronald Shakespear (autor) Carlos Mendez Mosquera y Jorge Frascara quienes presentarán y comentarán la obra.
Este no es un libro sobre la teoría del diseño. Es una reflexión sobre la práctica de un camino ya largo. Ronald Shakespear ha dedicado cuarenta y cinco años al ejercicio de la disciplina, y la obra gráfica de su estudio, Diseño Shakespear, ha sido reconocida en todo el mundo.
También ha sido dicho que este es un libro de cuentos. Rigurosamente cierto. Los megaproyectos gráficos realizados por este Estudio, pionero del diseño en Latinoamérica, están aquí documentados, y la mayoría de ellos han sido publicados en las principales editoriales en Italia, Alemania, Reino Unido, Estados Unidos, Japón, España, Brasil, Polonia, Francia, Suiza, y otros países.
"Señal de Diseño: Memoria de la Práctica" recopila numerosos artículos, conferencias y entrevistas del autor, realizadas a lo largo del tiempo. La lúcida introducción de Jorge Frascara pone en contexto temático el trabajo de Diseño Shakespear y esta particular mirada al diseño en el escenario urbano, los sistemas de señales en el espacio público y su incidencia en los hábitos y costumbres de la gente.
Profesor Titular (1985/ 1990) de la Cátedra de Diseño en la UBA, Jurado internacional del Art Directors Club de New York y ex Presidente de la ADG (Asociación de Diseñadores Gráficos), Ronald Shakespear narra aquí la épica fundacional del diseño en la Argentina y las batallas libradas en pos de su inserción en el tejido de la sociedad. Una memoria de la práctica.
Se recomienda especial puntualidad, ya que la sala posee una capacidad de 300 asientos.
