Tres años llevo ya sin ella. Al principio no nos llevábamos bien porque ella era dura y esquiva, mis manos -siempre lo han sido- blandas, y mis muñecas estaban en permanente cuarentena por una tendinitis mal curada. Me la regaló mi padre unas navidades (la más cara que encontró) a petición de la monja que nos daba clase, pensando que con tamaño trasto, una cría de 12 años como yo podría manejarse en igualdad de condiciones respecto al resto de sus compañeras, nada menos que treinta micos con falda azul tableada haciendo un ruido insoportable con sus treinta respectivas guitarras.
Y así fue como, desde 6º de EGB, me tuve que acostumbrar a mi Capodastro (la cejilla más dura entre las duras con el envase más feo entre los feos) Con el tiempo, logré ablandarla un poco, pero seguí tardando más que las demás en ponerla y quitarla, mientras sentía una profunda y corrosiva envidia de aquellas compañeras que tenían la clásica cejilla de tijera, apretar-meter-soltar. En un infructuoso intento de hacerla más mía, le coloqué entre la barra que lindaba con las cuerdas y el cilindro de plástico una tira de papel escrito a máquina con mi nombre y mis apellidos (que fuera una horrible cejilla no tenía nada que ver para que no hubiera de marcarla por si se perdía)
Pero se perdió, con nombre y todo.
Me ví en COU controlando ya bastante la guitarra, en la acuciante necesidad de colocarle una cejilla, sea cual fuera su procedencia, y opté por el siempre socorrido truco de la goma del pelo y el boli Bic roñoso, tal como había aprendido de Bea. Aquello de quitarse la coleta y dejarse la doblez en el pelo tenía un toquecillo hippie guarrindongo, pero la causa era noble, el presupuesto, cero y la carencia, insoportable. La cosa quedaba, más o menos, así:
Hoy la he echado de menos; hemos pasado muy buenos ratos juntas. En 1º de carrera, rondando la fecha del amigo invisible, comuniqué al despiste mi desdicha y mi amigo correspondiente, Maxi, me regaló una. Pero ya no era lo mismo. Con esta nueva no he llegado a congeniar, me la he cargado antes de tiempo porque traía un elástico, no un muelle. Un día, cuando me acuerde, me voy a comprar otra igualita, en el mismo sitio donde me la compró mi padre. Y la voy a domar bien pronto, aunque me cueste otra tendinitis.
