Se cumple el refrán. Cuando en Marzo mayea, en Mayo marcea. Y marcea con muy mala leche. Hace frío, chispea y llueve a rachas intermitentes, recordándonos refranes de toda la vida. “hasta el cuarenta de Mayo...”.
Y en esto que llego yo, después de haber estado tomando unas copitas en Madrid, dispuesto a coger el último autobús de la línea 621 Madrid-Las Rozas, convencido de que sale a medianoche.
Pero no. El último autobús de la línea 621 Madrid-Las Rozas sale del intercambiador de Moncloa a las 23:50. Y son las 23:51. Veo las luces traseras del autobús alejarse mientras un tipo que se tapa con un montón de periódicos se ríe de mi cara de inútil. Desesperado consulto los horarios en el poste que hay junto a la dársena 6. El autobús que sale a las doce es el 629, que si bien pasa por Las Rozas, me deja muy alejado de casa. Resignación. Mucha resignación.
Me acurruco en el autobús y leo en los veinte minutos que dura el trayecto hasta el Burgo. Quiero que el trayecto dure un poco más. Dentro de lo que cabe –y a pesar del olor a humanidad- el autobús está seco y caliente, fuera arrecia la lluvia. Ya no chispea; llueve en toda regla. Casi se me parte el alma cuando tengo que pulsar el botón de “parada solicitada”.
Bajo y comienzo a andar. El agua no va bien con un traje de lana fría. No es impermeable y no es tan calentito como juraba la chavala del trabajo por horas en el Corte Ingles (Nota Mental: meterle el traje de lana fría por donde le quepa, la próxima vez que vaya al Corte Ingles, a la chavala del trabajo por horas). En apenas un par de minutos el traje esta calado, los zapatos encharcados y mi mala leche va en aumento. Para colmo de males creo que el tipo de la beisbolera azul me está siguiendo.
Para cuando llego a casa, siento la garganta entumecida y dolorida. Mañana me despertaré con un buen resfriado.
Mi luna de miel con el Transporte Público ha terminado.
