Octubre 1984. Kuwait. Un agente de prensa es enviado como corresponsal de guerra a Al-Khiran para informar de las sublevaciones que estan sufriendo. Viajaba solo en vuelo directo desde Miskatonik (Arkham, Massachusets) y debia presentarse ante el almirante Dekker de las Naciones unidas.

Alli entablaria amistad con el soldado Roge a raiz de un incidente diplomatico con unos kuwaities que encontraban divertido torturar patos con pajarita. Roge le hizo unos favores y solo el sabe donde estan enterrados los cadaveres.
